Kudos to the TTer in Red Rock Canyon

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Kudos to the TTer in Red Rock Canyon

First things first, I'd like to give props to the TTer I crossed paths with coming back from Red Rock Canyon Saturday morning. The wind was blowing pretty good and the teamwork was much appreciated!
So if you happen to read this, THANKS!

For the rest of you reading this. I was in Vegas this past weekend and did the Red Rock Canyon ride that was recommended by a local cycling buddy. Not a bad ride. For me it was about a 75 mile loop from "The Strip" (didn't have my computer). Bike paths most of the way but they were littered with debris and rocks until you got past all the construction around the 15 and the new developments in that area. Saw a few cyclists but not all that many. Pretty area once you get out to the Red Rock Canyon area. Did the 13 mile loop through the national park which has some nice scenery but the what looked to be fairly recent brush fire had blackened parts of the area was kind of a bummer. The loop is a one way traffic which was nice but you'll also have to deal with the sport bike guys trying to get in passes whenever they could. Overall, not a bad ride and recommended but I'd do it on a weekday if you have the opportunity.

Sorry, no pics, since I went solo it was a non-stop loop for me.
