A Disturbing Revelation - Who's Practicing His Strip-Tease?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A Disturbing Revelation - Who's Practicing His Strip-Tease?

After a short hiatus, I re-activated my Netflix account. I was browsing the cycling videos and selected the 2003 Tour 6-disc set. As a result, the Netflix system tells me that the 2003 Tour videos were "enjoyed by members who also enjoyed . . ." this disturbing list of "movies."

"Carmen Electra's Advanced Aerobic Striptease"

"UFC 52: Ultimate Fighting Championship: Randy Couture vs. Chuck Liddell"

"WWE: The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior"

"Billy Blanks: Tae Bo: Cardio Circuit 1"

"Carmen Electra's Hip Hop"

and some more UFC videos. Is this really what we like? I mean, who's practicing the Carmen Electra striptease after 6 hours of veg-ing out to a bike race?!? This is frickin' disturbing - I mean it's the number one result! Please help me out guys, I am starting to question my cycling fan-dom - what's the explanation?

By the way, the stupidest I think I have ever seen is:
"Overhaulin': Lance Armstrong Episode" where they soop up the GTO that Lance's ex-rock star gave him. This looks like some seriously bad watchin'
http://www.netflix.com/MovieDisplay?...564&trkid=3258

(b/t/w apologies for some of the goofy threads I have posted lately - I am just in a weird state of mind - changing jobs, got my USCF license, focusing on lots of new stuff. )

Similar thing happened a while back with Wal-Mart:

(Washington Post)Wal-Mart apologized yesterday after its retail Web site directed potential buyers of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Planet of the Apes" DVDs to also consider purchasing DVDs with African American themes.

The world's largest retailer said in a statement that it was "heartsick" over the racially offensive grouping and that the site was linking "seemingly random combinations of titles."

A "completely unintentional" employee error at Walmart.com saw four movies grouped with a number of DVD box sets a year ago, the Washington Post reported.

As a result, users who clicked on a listing for a DVD boxed set on Walmart.com found four films listed as "similar items" for any DVD title. The similar items films were "What's Love Got to Do With It," "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge," "Martin Luther King: I Have A Dream/Assassination of MLK" and "Unforgiveable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson."

That MLK think was awful. The difference is that Netlix actually tracks user data to develop these ratings. So when it says "other users enjoyed", it literally means that among people who rated the 2003 TDF highly, titles in that franken-list of pro-wrestling, ultimate fighting and exercise stripping videos were their most highly-rated.

My coach recommended exercise stripping and ultimate fighting as part of my cross-training regimen. Sorry about that.

Seems like perfectly logical training videos to me. How better to deal with someone flipping you off than arm bar and there's got to be a better way of getting those leg and arm warmers on and off.

I was having dinner with a friend and we've decided to call it an actual event. "The Vertical Bar", so you can watch the uneven parallels and then the vertical bar competitions.... vertical bar competitive routines average about 3-4 songs.
