Darn Procycling Mag!!!!

I went to a local bookstore, checked out the procycling latest issue, go to the coffee area, start turning the pages, then on a two page spread there is a photo of two european pros taking a bath together -nothing kinky but very suggestive nevertheless, first reaction is like WTF.... That's not too bad you'd say, except at that precise instant these two hot babes walk by, one of them -the blond, looks down to what I'm reading and gives me this look.........

BTW, I'm not anti-gay. Just trying to lighten up the moment. In college I played varsity tennis with a couple of europeans. Looks like sharing showers is no big deal since water is more expensive and the euros don't seem to have the hang-ups we do.

ps I hasten to add that I did not, do not and will not share showers with any men. Well, my 4 yr old being the one exception. :D

That's very disturbing.

Y'all don't attend fitness clubs, gyms? Afraid of what you'll start thinking in those showers?

Comedic gold.

Damn you sexy Flanders!!

Brillig 02-06-06 03:47 PM

Stupid sexy Flanders

rufvelo 02-06-06 03:54 PM

It used to be a traditional thing to shower together in the stone showers of Roubaix, especially after a very wet and dirty Paris-Roubaix.

DocRay 02-06-06 03:56 PM

Many clubs in Ontario will use a church rec area for group showers following a ride, Jebus hasn't struck anyone down yet.

crackerjab 02-06-06 03:58 PM

Let's get back to this 2 women bathing together incident. I have yet to check out that issue. And what was this "look" that the hot babe gave you?

crackerjab 02-06-06 03:59 PM

Or was it 2 men?

pecos 02-06-06 04:01 PM

2 men. Need I explain the look? She was about to bust out laughing. Now that I think about it I should have winked at her.

Got that right!!! If I'm a **** I'd rather not know about it. :p :D

crackerjab 02-06-06 04:05 PM

Yeah, i think winking at her would have done the trick. Oh, well. Live and learn I suppose.

... not unlike Armstrong to Ullrich on Alpe d'Huez, and they left the scene just as quickly!

:roflmao: Laying in bathtub with a dude not same as group shower in a church.

alpe d'issaquah 02-06-06 10:50 PM

Water is more expensive? WTF are you talking about? You mean like in the US there's still racial segregation and you all sit on your verandas in a rocking chair?

BTW - the picture you talk of with Nico Mattan - hilarious. That 'mavericks' issue of the magazine was brilliant. Sometimes ProCycling is more entertaining in the off-season.

Can anyone please explain how Ned Flanders' physique can go from a large bellied, plump, Jarrod look-alike when he wears everyday clothing, to a buff, sculpted, bulked up stud when he pulls his shirt off or wears skin-tight lycra?

Same question for Groundskeeper Willie...

I'm the same way...only in reverse :p

Hmmm, I seem to remember lots of guys in the shower in High School. Just don't drop the soap!

substructure 02-07-06 07:26 AM

Historically, the Romans not only bathed together but they all worked out in the nude with each other as well. Must of looked nice doing squats and bent over rows.

I donít have a problem in the gym with undressing and showering in front of men. It's the guys who linger around in the nude for no reason and keep darting their eyes back and forth that freak me out. Or the old men who prop their leg up on a bench with their packages dangling like Chinese lanterns as they talk about the 1924 Buffalo Bisons. Or the same guy who knocks on your shower stall everyday (accidentally).

Hipcycler 02-07-06 07:54 AM

I remember that in high school we had a pool class for a while in boys' gym class.

No swimsuits.

To this day I hate pools.
