Saw it a few months ago - my first thought was they could have made it even lighter, possibly under 7.0 pounds if it was a fixed-gear. Maybe not, there aren't many weight-weenie fixed gear rear hubs... singlespeed, then?

I can't help but wonder how many, or should I say how few miles one will get out of a carbon fiber cassette.

Why not just build a bike out of tissue paper and crazy straws....it would just as practical.
