Made the choice: Waterford/ Ultegra

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks for all of the suggestions from forum members regarding the choice for a custom steel bike. In the end, I went with the Waterford; it seems the best bang for the buck! I'm having it built up with Ultegra parts; I also went with a compact crank. Now I wait!

Congratulations. I'm sure your Waterford will be worth the wait, and of course we must see pictures when you get it!
