I'm comparing a few bikes, considering upgrading from my Trek 1000. I'm just looking for opinions on the quality of the bikes. Most of these are sitting at my LBS shop, all between $1500-1750. Here they are, in no particular order:

1. 2004 Klein aura xv
crankset Shimano Ultegra 53/39
bottom bracket Shimano 105
derailleurs (f/r) Shimano Ultegra
shifters Shimano Ultegra STI
wheel system Bontrager Race Lite Road
tires Bontrager Race X-Lite 700x23C
cassette Shimano HG-70 12-25, 9 speed
brakes Shimano Ultegra
brake levers Shimano Ultegra STI

I'm pretty sure this has carbon seat stay, and carbon fork, but the Klein website sems to indicate otherwise.

2. 2005 Klein Reve 5

frame material Klein ZR9000 AL & Carbon seat stays w/ s.p.a. suspension
fork Klein Reve Carbon w/ fender eyelets
headset Cane Creek IS2 w/ cartridge bearings
rear shock s.p.a. soft-tail suspension w/ BASF elastocell spring
crankset 105, 52/42/30, 105 68x118
bottom bracket Shimano 105
derailleurs (f/r) Shimano 105 T / Shimano 105 GS
shifters Shimano 105 STI
chain Shimano HG-72
wheel system Bontrager Race, 700 x 25c, folding

I'm a little concerned about the durability of the spa insert between the rear seat stay and the frame. Also, the componentry is a little lower than the aura xv

3. Lemond Beunos Aires

Frame: combo of steel and carbon. Carbone top tube, and stays, steel bottom tube, carbon fork
TruVativ GXP external
crank: Bontrager Racer Lite triple 52/39/30
Front/Rear Deraileur: Shimano Ultegra 10spd
Shifters: Shimano Ultegra 10spd STI for Flight Control
Casette: Shimano 105 10spd
Chain: Shimano 105 10spd
Bontrager Race wheel system
Brakes: Shimano 105

I find the combo of steel and carbon interesting.

4. Trek 2006 5000

Frame: TCT Carbon
Fork: Bontrager, carbon
Wheels: Bontrager Select
Tires: Bontrager Race Lite, 700x25c
Shifters: Shimano 105 STI, 10 speed
Front Derailleur: Triple: Shimano Ultegra
Rear Derailleur: Shimano Ultegra
Crank: Bontrager Race 53/39 or 52/39/30
Cassette: Shimano 105 12-25, 10 speed
Saddle: Bontrager Select
Seat Post: Bontrager Carbon
Handlebars: Bontrager Select w/BzzzKill, 31.8mm
Stem: Bontrager Select, 7 degree, 31.8mm
Headset: Aheadset, sealed, alloy
Brakeset: Cane Creek 3 w/Shimano 105 STI levers

I'm not terribly concerned about the TCT overseas carbon vs. the US made OCLV.

5. 2005 Scattante CFR Triple

Full Ultegra components, shifters, deraileurs, etc.
Unknown carbon frame
"Korso" wheels
apparently a pretty crappy seat and seat post ;)

Does anybody have any strong opinions about theses bikes?
Is there a huge jump in quality going from the 105 to the Ultegra components?
Any other comments would be greatly appreciated!
