Would this cage look all right on the 1500?

Why wouldn't it? If it looks OK to you, who cares what anybody else thinks?

I just put a couple of those on my new Cannondale, which is red. I like the red cages, but Nashbar only had the blues and blacks. So I went with black. They has oridinally listed them as weighing 50g, but the packaging says 70g (oh my!). I actually emailed and asked which is right, since I guess I have toom much time on hands. The emailed back and said that their site was wrong and that they would correct it; they also offered to take them back. I see the site now lists them at 54g, and they mention the packaging is wrong. The 40g (for two) isn't a big deal to me.

I have them on the bike so that I can take the bottles off from the side. Neat future, but they sure hold bottles tight. Not sure that they will be permanent, but it's a cheap trial anyway.

Now I see em! Are they as sturdy that way?

Black matches with everything. But that looks good. With a lot of these blue tones, it's a b**ch to get it just right...Close enough works...!

So far, so good. It's also a different technique, since you really aren't pulling the bottle up as much as tilting it out. These cages seem pretty strong, so the only thing to keep an eye on is to make sure the bolts don't loosen up (a lesson I learned on a different bike / cage combo last year).
