Think OCP is getting the best of me.
I just built up my Look 565 with my D/A 10 spd parts from my old frame. The problem is the more I look at it I think it needs Record. Oh well now I have to explain this one to the wife as well. Btw I am not a campy is better than shimano type. It's just the campy stuff does look a bit better.
Wish me luck.
Matt.
P.S. The other problem is going to be that I will need another frame for all the old shimano stuff. I guess it never ends once it starts.

Volkswagen has commercial series out now spoofing "tuners". In one of them, one guy says he spent $20 grand tuning a $3 thousand dollar car. I suspect that a lot of FSA KWing handlebars get sold for the same reason.

This is all based on looks?
Here's a question - will it make you faster? Doubt it.
Here's another - Will it work any better? Probably not.
and another - why waste the money? to impress some iFriends?

Uh, no. I'm just pointing out how insanely asinine it would be to switch from a perfectly good TOP of the range groupo, to another perfectly fine TOP of the range groupo, just because you think one looks better than the other.
Hey man, if you have the money to do it, more power to you, but keep your banal - and inaccurate - analogies to yourself.

I wonder if the OP is selling off the DA10 grouppo - I've got this Bianchi Strada frame....

If the OP is/was actually serious, then I doubt my reply would have any bearing of their choice.
Even if it did, then it says something if someone's opinion on a chat site out in etherland effects their personal preferences.
This isn't a case of "is this product reliable" or "does it handle well". It's about aesthetics.
In the end, I could care less, and I would assume the OP's feelings are mutual

Hehehe....."iFriends"! I like it!
Personally, I wouldn't argue with RAD about the woes of evil consumerism. He waited 43 years for a paintjob!

To be honest it is mostly for looks. I have always wanted a campy bike as well as a Shimano bike so this also seems like a good excuse.

I suppose you could sell the DA gruppo (but not to the guy with the Bianchi -- he'll just end up realizing that he doesn't want Shimmy on an Italian bike, either! lol) to help fund the Record. And now that Chorus is carbon, if you factor in the price difference it's damn near free (near enough in my mind -- good luck with that route and the wife! lol). Get some Chorus, son!
