Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Online rim sales?

Does anyone sell just rims online anymore? It seems like Nashbar and Performance have gone over to only selling cruddy machine built wheels. I'm tired of having to buy an entire wheel to replace a damaged rim on a perfectly good hub. Or to pay the huge markup for an aluminum hoop at my LBS when I'm the one building up the wheel.

Bikes: Kona Cindercone (stock frame only), Specialized Transition Elite (one-off mango color), Trek 2000 (getting ready for SS duty as soon as I build its wheels).

Tons of places sell rims. Often there's substantial shipping costs. I usually buy rims on eBay actually. I've bought Sun M13II and Mavic Open Pro on eBay recently. Lickbike.com sells rims online, as does harriscyclery.com. So do lots of other places.
