Edge 305 & Polar S625x
I have a S625X i use for triathlons (wasn't sold on the forerunner 305). I have it set up to run speed, cadence and HR on my road/tri bike. I'm thinking about adding the Edge 305 (I'd like GPS compatibility) to my bike, but I'm concerned about interference from the 2 units - does anyone know if this set up is do-able?
Would I have to have 2 cadence sensors if I wanted cadence readings from both units or could I get away with one sensor? Could I only wear one HR transmitter if I wanted HR reading for both?
I know I'll get a lot of redundant information (assuming the systems don't conflict).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Why in the world would you want 2 devices that calculated the same information on one bike? However, it is your perogative...
Yes, you would need 2 cadence sensors... and I believe someone tried the Polar HR and it did NOT work with the Edge (Not 100% sure). I have a Polar S725 but have not tested it with my Edge, since I do not use the HR anymore....

The reason I'd like to add the Edge is because the Polar does not have GPS capability and the Polar only has 3 lines of display(2 of them tiny). But I went with the Polar because for triathlons because no watch can touch it in terms of functions and functionality. The Garmin equivalent of the Polar is the Forerunner 305 but it definitely has it drawbacks - the major one is that it is not waterproof (only "submersible" for 30 minutes) as I have read that people are putting their Forerunners in their swim caps during the swim. Not something I want to do.
I'm happy w/ the S625X for triathlons, but it's a bit lacking for my road and mtn rides. THAT'S why I'd like to add the Edge.
Thank you for your input.

Lose the polar cadence and speed sensors on your bike. Use the Garmin for all your biking data. Wear the garmin and polar heart sensors (you can wear one backwards, so one on your chest, one on your back). Use the polar data for the run/swim. The two systems aren't compatible, so you can't use one heart sensor for both systems, but the 2 heart sensors won't mess each other up.
