Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

More power on non-aero levers?

okay I have an 80's miyata 310 that i've been rebuilding lately. i just got some jagwire slick dura type pad holders and the stock rubber that came with them. while the braking is improved over the old dia-comp pads, i still feel that it could be more powerful. I am running stock Dia-Comp AC500 non aeros and single pivot sidepulls. i love the way non aero levers look on it and would not change to aero type. besides i'm sure there is a way to milk more power out of my current brakeset.

oh and i just replaced all housing with shimano xt teflon lined and Jagwire Kynar PVDF coated cables.
