Look 461 or 555?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Look 461 or 555?

Am in the market for a new CF frame. Have titanium and aluminum, but want to try CF. Anyone ride either of these frames? Any positives?/Negatives? Thanks in advance.

How much do you weigh?

If you go 5 series, get the 565 or the 585. They have the better fork and are lighter.

I have a 565 and love it. I looked at the 555 and the 585. I only got the 565 because I wanted a 585 but could not justify the extra $500. The 555 is a great frame as well and you may be able to find some 2005's around that come with the HSC 5 fork. No negatives so far. I like it much more than my LS classic. No BB flex and rides a bit stiffer. Never ridden a 461 so can't help you there.

585 dude. had mine about it month. it rocks. and not that this is in the least important but it is mean looking too. get some red sidewall tires, fsa carbon wing bars- maybe even throw in some red tape. you won't regret it. worth every $.

Umm, OP is asking about the 461 and/or 555. There is proabaly a reason for that. It's easy to say 585.

'05 555 if you can find one, great fork and frame is lighter then the 461. Tho I hear there is nothing wrong with the 461. Looking to save money you might want to choose the 461. Both are good frames.

Ummmm- i am giving him my opinion, you may give him yours, unless you prefer to waste you time critiquing others replies(=too much time on your hands). i am trying to prevent him from making a mistake he will later regret. penny wise, pound foolish.
