Need advice - Ibis Spanky vs. IF Crown Jewel

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need advice - Ibis Spanky vs. IF Crown Jewel

I have the IF but am considering replacing it with the Spanky. I am partial to the Spanky due to the history and the fact that i already have a Mojo. Personal reasons aside, what do you think?

Ibis bikes rock. My clearcoated, refinished and re-fitted Ibis Ti Road comes back from the LBS with full Dura Ace tomorrow. Nothing has more bling than an Ibis. AND he's back in business. No more Spanky's or Ti bike these days. Sigh. Oh well.

IF would be OK if they didn't have that incredibly cheesy stupid King-For-A-Day logo. Good God where did they get that? Retro Graphix?

It's funny how opinion's vary. To me nothing will ever beat my IF.

One problem with Ibis is the guy DISAPPEARED for a while. Back in the early 1990's there was no more innovative bicycle designer. Ahead of his time. I've never read a review or owner's impression of an Ibis bicycle that wasn't a total rave. I've also heard good things about IF, my aversion to their cheesy logo notwithstanding. It's all good. How can you go wrong with either bike?

If you can stand that IF logo, I mean.
