Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I found this 5 month-ol review by accident. Maybe this article can reassure Jr. Clydesdales (190+ ?) that such a light, inexpensive wheelset can hold up...

I'd like to see a review where a set of Xero XR-1 are put through the ringer too!

Too cool. I may have to consider a set of these in the future.

Yo Sin - is that Maureen in your Avatar?

Yep. The one and only Marcia Brady with a completely groovy Scwhinn.

It was a battle between 12 year-old boy's fantasies in 1972 - Maureen or Susan "Laurie Partridge" Dey!

I was definitely a Maureen guy, being 12 in '72 myself. But she was pure fantasy.

A couple years later, Valerie Bertinelli was the first to bridge fantasy with reality.

Sounds like there's a story there.

Kind of reminds me of the musician's joke a few years back:

"We've all got a little Van Halen in us, especially Valerie."

BTW, some dudes here wondering who that guitarist is in my sig.
It's Scott Gorham formerly of seminal 70's Irish rock band Thin Lizzy.

Scott is very underated player known more for having the longest hair any musician at the time. He was part of the patented twin guitar attack along with Brian Robertson and later Gary Moore.

Gorham's pretty dedicated to the late singer bassist Phil Lynott. He insisted that they post a bronze statue of Lynott in his hometown of Dublin, since they have politicans and other dubious people with monuments erected there.

It did happen!
