Sounds good. I did the same and ended up with 47/34 with a 12-27. However, it also has a tiny little 24 tooth granny chainring too, so it's really a 47/34/24. :D

Worked out awesome. Parts just came in yesterday and I got my first ride in today with the 48/36. I can def. notice a difference, exactly the gearing I wanted. I cant wait until I have more time to go on more rides. I didnt want to get off the bike, but had too many things to do today lol. Only did about 20 miles, but rode down a bike path, some rolling hillls, and one small climb. For me, this gearing is perfect.
