I've had a few close calls with suicidal squirrels. One was on the side of the path and as I was approaching it suddenly darted in front of me and stopped there! Another one that was in the middle of the path darted back and forth unsure which way to run and ended up freezing a few feet in front of me. Both times I braked in time. Today, a squirrel was on the side of the path and ran into the bushes, flushing out a baby rabbit which was about to run into my path, but it darted back into the bushes. I'm glad it did because there's no way I would have avoided hitting it. I know there's a skunk that's around that area too...hope I never have an encounter with it!

These stories all sound really entertaining, is anyone else thinking about glueing bird feed to their wheels?
