Pedal Force frame decals?

Ok, so we all know the PF logos blow big time (look like they were made in MS Word....). I emailed them and asked if I could get a frame that was nude, with just a clear coat, and this is what he sent back (very quickly, i might add):

"The QS2 frame has our logo on the headtube and no decal along the down tube. The ZX3 has decal along the downtube. The FUSION frame is the only frame without any decals."

I recall someone saying they requested a frame with no decals and they sent you one? Is this true? I am looking to buy a ZX3 over the QS2, but am really turned off by the downtube decal.......i guess i could just repaint it.......but i want to see the weave!!!!! thoughts?

My thought: Pony up the $50 for the QS2 frame. ;)

Sometimes they get some frames in that haven't had the decals put on yet. You can request them with no decals in that case. The decals are just under the clear coat. So, you can just lightly sand the clear coat off and remove the decal. Then take it to a auto body shop and have them put some new clear coat on that area and blend it in. It shoudl cost like $50 and take them just a few minutes to do it.

Wonder why they continue to bother with decals given that everyone seems to hate them? They get some in without, so that can't be the issue.

True. Scattante, Pedal Force, Tirenno etc, should just apply stickers over the clearcoat. Just peel away and you've got your Pinarello!

the $50 isnt the issue, its the fact that the QS2 is a different frame from the ZX3. It is more of a "comfort" frame than race/performance geom.

Comfort geometry?

How do you figure that? The QS2 has pretty standard race geometry:

Compare it to the Scott CR1 for example:

I think the 'it' in his post was for the ZX3 not the QS2. And I figured as much, that's why I put the little smilely to indicate I was goofing around. I've personally been looking at the QS2 and am just not sure what to do yet because of the other "Rolexes" that are out there...
