Three best simple riding tips ever!
The tip about pulling your knees toward the handlebars is genius imagery ( I used to try to use my hammies, but Lemond says that's bad to do in another article he wrote)

I especially like the part where the article states: "If you're not getting up twice each night to urinate, you aren't sufficiently hydrated."
I might urinate twice in one night, but I'll probably only get up once. |

here are my 3 tips:
- Ride with a beautiful looking partner - Ride a nice bike - Ride a route with only down hills, no up hills |
Three simple tips:
1. Actually ride the bike, don't just walk it 2. Respect vehicles that weigh more than you do 3. Don't follow directly behind the tailpipe of the car in front of you |

I first heard of the mud scraping trick on "Cycling For Success"; the video put out by 7-Eleven in the mid 80's. I have used that mental trick everytime I want to snap my spin back in line. Works like a charm.

Those "tips" are pretty standard except for that wacky pee twice a night thing. Sure, peeing twice is a night I'd say in most cases is a sufficient condition for hydration, but hardly a necessary one (i.e. yes, peeing twice a night means you're probably well hydrated but you can be well hydrated without peeing twice a night). |

I still find myself singing the theme song, "Hammer it out....be a champion, haaaammmmmerrrr it out!" "Stretch it. Stretching out the gap, gap gaaaaaap......" Even caught my wife singing it once. |
I'm real sorry your mom blew up, Ricky.

The best part was the BMX bike on the ski-slopes... :) It even had skis on instead of tyres !!!
And the Howard Cosell impersonators were a riot! |

One of the best I ever got concerned riding in cold weather: If you have on enough clothes to be warm in the first mile, you have overdressed.
