EDDY MERCKX on eBay, WOW!! Should I Bid?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

EDDY MERCKX on eBay, WOW!! Should I Bid?

Hi guys, Newbie hear looking for advice.
Saw this Eddy on eBay, looks awesome, but does anyone know what it is worth or how high I should bid?
I am adding the link as so you can look and provide advice, not trying to get kicked for ignoring the rules.
Was going to post this question in the 4 sale blog, but I'm not a premium member.
Heres the link and thanks in advance for any help.

Nice looking bike, with 8-sp DA. If it was a size smaller, I might bid.

Actually, I wouldn't. I'm uber paranoid of eBay.

But don't let that stop you. If you think it's a legit auction, go for it.

I wouldnt bid on an auction that uses so many different text colours. What is he trying to do? Send you into an ecliptic fit?

Crazy font, I find that auction impossible to read...

but the photos are nice. I think it's 6-speed dura ace if it's from 1984, notice it uses downtube shifters. The 8-speed dura ace brifters look like fat, ugly modern SIS shifters.

Oh no... SHILL ALERT.

It's a little obvious that you are the seller. Your only two posts on bike forums are for two auctions by yourself where you beg viewers to "get on the blogs and post links to your auctions."

Relax, shill; I'm sure the bike will sell.

Plus, if you were not the ebay seller, what kind of fool would you be to post a link to an auction knowing that you're just going to create bids against you?

OUCH!!!!!
That hurt.... I don't resemble the remarks, but yeah, have to agree about posting this. Thought about screwing myself by giving the link, but I love Eddy's and this looks like a awesome bike! I checked out the sellers comments from other buyers and he looks like he is very knowledgable when it comes to being honest in his listings. I guess I'll ask a question and judge the response.
Still wish I could find the market value.... "Eddy Blue Book.com" ?
Thanks 4 the love...

What a crappy bike. I wouldn't pay more than $25 for it, and you shouldn't either.
