Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sidi Velcro~~Sidi buckle**********

Advantages over Sidi velcro are what? I need some new shoes: the pattern on my present Sidi shoes don't fit the bolt pattern for my new pedals. I could get the same exact pair (at a cheaper price) with the proper bolt pattern, but have heared mixed reviews on the velcro straps vs. the buckle strap on the new.

Thanks

Buckles are rebuildable/replaceable, when the velcro wears out it's time for new shoes.

I love the buckle on my Sidis. So easy to make fine adjustments while riding.

Hard to beat the buckle ... I'd take that first, but I have no problem adjusting my velcro-only Adidas shoes.

love the sidi buckle system, but just to let you know the Velcro is
replacable too (although a shoe repair would have to be done, sewing and all).

Go buckle!!! doesn't slip, and is easier to make a precise adjustment while pedaling

the buckle is friggin' brilliant

my last shoes (specialized carbon comps) had three velcro, I prefer the buckle

you can tighten and loosen the buckle while riding--you have to play with one to understand it but it's very cool

I just got a pair of Genius 5.5 HT shoes
