Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bike cleaning

He is very good and comes cheap...

This is not a setup photo shoot, he did this all on his own this morning while I'm at work and the wife was inside.

A pimp's gotta keep his ride looking sharp! Armor-all-ing the tires? Nice!

Cute...
That reminded me of my younger brother during the 60's, while he was meticulously detailing his bike he got his finger caught in the chain. While he was screaming in pain, my mother called a LBS owner, he rushed to our home and broke the chain.....no charge. My brother never got into cycling...

How did he get his finger caught in a chain, i mean so much so that it was impossible to remove the finger without cutting the chain? I can't picture it.

It must have hurt either way, poor fellow.

He somehow managed to catch the tip of his index finger between the chain and the chainring on his singlespeed bike.......as a matter of fact, I sometimes read fixed gear guys doing the same thing over at the Fixed Gear Forum...
