mercian do custom for only a few pounds more than the normal price, so it would work out at about 800-900$, maybe a wee bit more. that is a lot of money saved over most american custom builders. either that, or use a local builder. as nice as sachs, waterford et al are, they are very expensive compared to uk prices! (see, not everything in the uk is expensive... campy, frames and dairy is cheap!)
