Specialized Tarmac Expert or Imagination?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Specialized Tarmac Expert or Imagination?

Is it my imagination or is the Specialized Tarmac Expert a great buy with full Ultegra, Mavic Equipe wheels and $500 to $700 less than Trek Madone 5.2 sl and Cannondale six 13 with ultegra.

Nope, it's not your imagination. I have a Trek Madone 5.2 SL. Six months after I bought that bike, my wife purchased a Tarmac Expert after trying out a lot of bikes. It's a great deal, and with the money saved on the bike, we upgraded the wheels to Easton Ascent IIs since she's light and she deserves some nice wheels. But if you're not into fancy wheels, the bike is a great buy as it is.

I'd agree. This is a good deal. And not that I put much cred into BUYcycling Magazine, but they loved it too.
