My New TT bike

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My New TT bike

My friend was getting rid of his old frame so I bought it off him for $100. Built it up with parts I had laying around and bought a few parts on ebay and at the shop. Its a 54 and I normally ride a 56 so it works.

2002? Trek 2300 frame/fork
Mavic Ksyrium Elite
Dura Ace 11-21 or Ultegra 12-25
Dura Ace 7701 crank 53/39
Dura Ace Bar Ends
Dura Ace chain
105 10 speed rear derailluer
105 front
Ultegra BB? (came with frame)
Fizik Poggio Saddle
Ritchey Pro Seatpost
Tektro RX40 brakes (single Pivot)
Profile Design Airwing basebar
Profile Design T2+ S-Bend aerobars
Cane Creek 200TT levers
Ritchey Stem 120mm (don't know the trim line)

I am going to borrow my boss' tri-spokes for TT's until I build up my Zipps. The stem is probably going to be swapped with a ritchey pro adjustable stem so I can get lower. I have no front derailluer in my pictures because it has not arrived yet. I guess I can shift with a stick for the time being. My saddle is set up to the UCI limit of 5cm behind the BB (even with a setback seat post). I need to find a saddle thats suitable for nose chopping. Any suggestions?

Nasty cable bend. I probably should get nokons

Cool!! I getting ready to do a similar build. Skip the front derailuer unless you have hilly time trials.

Good job,
Richard
