Dropped a Middle-aged Scandinavian
I was riding along on my old steel Mangusta with platform pedals the other day, when this all kitted up, very Norwegian-looking guy passed me and said "hola!" I had my panniers on, full of groceries and my Skilsaw on top of the rack, but I grabbed his wheel anyway. We both stopped at a light, and he kind of smirked "mucho rapido", I think ("much quick"?). Pretty sure Spanish wasn't his first language
Anyway, he takes off from the light "mucho rapido", kind of flailing all over the place, so that instead of having to try and keep up with him, I had to slow down to keep from running over him. He finally gets going and I pass him with an "adjø". He kept up for a block or so, then turned off to find another victim.
I thought about going home, suiting up and going out on the Kestrel to look for him, but it would have been just too sad.
Just thought I'd share. Cheers.

Good job.
Good job.
I just threw that in because I did, in fact, get smoked by a guy on a Kestrel on Saturday. And I'm still bitter about it.

Dropped a much younger rider
I was on a residential street near my house and started to catch a young rider up ahead. He looked back and started to hammer. To be fair he was on a single speed so I kept it on the big ring. I was determined to show the yongster that this old fart still had some juice, so I stood up and gave it all I had. The young punk must have been giving his all because I was closing the gap ever so slow. We came up on a tight corner, his training wheels wouldn't allow the bike to lean giving me the advantage. As I blew by I waved and said "bye bye!"
Guess that 5 year old will think twice before taking on this old man again! YA, Old Guys Rule!!!

Yesterday I dropped my very good Jewish friend who has some well-known knee and fit issues, doesn't ride much at all, lives at a much lower elevation, and who was on MY bike with the saddle lowered and a new stem. Yeah, I felt good.

Larch Mountain near Portland oregon, gave me 'the look', cranked the power meter to 401 and then dropped ME today. Man.. I hurt. I mean... a 4000ft mountain literally got up and raced me...

Yesterday I dropped TWO mother types pushing baby carriages and running their mouts.
Felt good after THAT one, man!
They'll think twice before coming out around her again.

I picked up all the food my kid dropped on the floor. My grampa dropped his falce teeth overboard and the anchor too. I dropped my waterbottle. My X girlfriend dropped me. No one has dropped me yet except my mom dropped me on my head a couple of times, my dad did too. I got droped from a job when they fired me. All said, if someone drops me when I ride, (did I mention that has not happened yet), I can take it.
