New saddle needed - Help?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New saddle needed - Help?

I am wanting to get a new saddle that looks good on my bike (2002 Giant OCR3) and was just wanting to mainly get some opinions on what color combo on the saddle I should get. Black? White? Yellow? Silver?

Here is the link to the photo of the bike. I think the stock saddle looks good but not very comfortable and need to upgrade.

Any other suggestions are welcome as well. Thanks.

Wait, you want color help?
Don't worry about what your bike looks like, enjoy how it rides, or even better, how you ride.
Just get a black saddle...goes with everything.

Try the fizik arione....nice saddle. Not for everyone but good for lots of us out there.

Yeah, find one that fits your butt. Did you build that bike up? I see some non-stock parts there.

The saddle is something I definitely would not purchase based on looks. Good fit and comfort means it will be easier to put the time in on the bike. I had some pain/comfort issues with my original seat and put a Specialized Avatar on. It immediately made all the difference in the world for me! The have different widths and I needed the wider saddle. I can spend plenty of hours on the bike with no discomfort.

Go for fit on the saddle. The right color or look would be a side benefit if they have what you want there.

Of all those color combinations, I would get the saddle that fits.

Thanks guys - I really appreciate it. I have added quite a bit to the bike and was looking at looks instead of fit which would have been a big mistake. Thanks again!

I love my fi'zi:k Arione. I was nervous about spending a lot of money on a saddle because you really don't get to test them out before you buy. It seems it would be pretty much hit or miss in this case, especially since it could take a few rides for it to conform to your rear end.

So what's the best way to go about shopping for a saddle so you don't end up with one that's uncomfortable?
