Hello there beautiful Quattro Assi (bike porn)
They just released a new model, the sss. It's one of the prettiest carbon frames I've ever seen. Not sure if it's standard or compact, but it looks standard. Cable routing under the top tube.

Anyone ever ridden a QA before? A buddy of mine has got a steel one with full record - beautiful bike!

Hello Brian,
I built a Quattro Assi Team 2000 (all aluminum frame, carbon fork) road bike into a TT bike last year:
I got the frame cheap and figured that if I went under an hour for a 40K TT I could upgrade to a better TT frame.
The frame that you are looking at is completely different than what I am riding. Regardless, while the frame works fine for me as a TT bike, I couldn't imagine using it as a road bike as it has the harshest ride of any racing bike that I have owned. Handling and out of the saddle responsiveness are fine though.
Also, the quality and "buildability" of the frame are good.

wow interesting. It looks like a super rigid bike. Full Aluminum with straight seat stays. Would you equate any of the rides harshness to the dish wheel?

Hi,
Richard, thanks for the compliment on the bike. It works better than I. In my mediocre state of fitness I was able to average 24.5 MPH on a relatively flat, but windy 23.5 mile TT.
Brian, regarding the harshness, the disc does not contribute much as I train on the bike with 32-spoke wheels. I believe (since I haven't attached any strain gauges to the frame ) that the ride harshness is caused by a very stiff rear triangle. Based on the photos that you posted, I would guess that the Quattro Assi Full Carbon frame has a reasonable ride (curved chain and seat stays).

Looks like a generic far-eastern manufactured carbon frame to me. Pretty, but available under the stickers of various manufacturers.

looks like they took a few design cues from the soloist. Hot frame.

Man those are tiny seatstays!!!
Personally I'm a little scared of carbon. It's so nice I'd almost hate to ride it. To me a carbon frame is like a lambo or something. I'd be afraid to drive it in case I scratch it and forever lament it.
Still some of the best bike porn I've seen in a while

I had that same bike (Team 2000).
Drove it into my garage door.
It was the happiest day of my life. it meant that I could buy something else without guilt.
Happy to hear you love yours.
I couldn't wait for something catastrophic to happen to mine...without me on it.
I'm sure that Freud would have something to say about the garage door incident.

Although I said that the frame is "fine" as a TT bike, I also said it has the harshest ride of any bike I've owned. If it was my daily ride, I might have "forgotten" that it was on my roof rack too.
BTW, a local club had the 2001 version of this bike as their team bike and a woman that I know had her husband "accidently" back over it. She replaced it with a DeRosa King.

I don't think they even make those team 2000 frames anymore. That rear triangle does look harsh. The G66 frames are suppose to be better. Hard to say if I'd pay that much for that frame.
