QS2 ride report............

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

QS2 ride report............

Well went out for a quick 25 miler and here is what I gather:

Weather: Sunny avg. 79 degrees with slight winds from Alberto od 13.6 mph avg. and 17 mph top wind speed.

- Frame and ride: stiff but not overly stiff and absorbs road shock on a routine route better than my AL frame.

- Crosswinds can be felt much easier due to lighter frame weight.

- Hill pulling: with FSA Compact Pro Elite 54-30 crank was a breeze with no significant loss over my triple nor on downhills.

- Braking: Easily more abrupt due to lighter frame, if I had to jam on front brake I would say you could almost go over the bars.

- Vuelta XRP wheelset: Great feel and response to the road.

- RavX saddle: Like any saddle needs a few rides to break in but otherwise fairly comfortable.

- Shifting: Effortless with Ultegra 10 spd. FD and Ultegra RD worked like a charm. Really dialed in and that credit goes to the wrench! Oh, that's me!

- Overall rating out of 10: I would say a 9.75 and that is due to no graphics on the QS2 and fact I really wish they had done in tube hidden cable lines. Otherwise I would suggest anyone who thinks of buying a all carbon bike to consider the Pedal Force line!
