Sora and Accera shifters
 

Aren't Sora shifters the road bike equivalent to Accera shifters on Mt. bikes (meaning the shift and perform in the same way)?

if you mean, they shift and perform in the same way as, both work efficiently and are heavier then their other respective gruppos, then yes. sora is the bottom of the line road group but still works fine. i like sora shifters personally but also tolerate riding an 8 speed, which for me is fine.
