I think I'll just wait for the Gold or Platinum plated versions to come out...
Probably the most hideous waterbottle cage I've seen.

Lame. It wouldn't even match my 7-lb gold chain with the 12" Mercedes emblem I wear when I ride.
But as far as whether people would pay $95 for a cage... I've seen a couple folks sporting the Campy carbon cages that sell for $109...

At least with the gold one you could see the difference between it and polished aluminum... Of course, I guess you could spot the silver plated one when it tarnishes. (I assume they would use sterling silver)

Anyone know where I can get a velvet jersey with a fur collar to go with it?

With silver, I could see how it may go well with a modern steel frame with lots of chrome. That said, Record cages are like $100 too, so I can see someone paying that much for something a little differant. However, if it is really silver plated, how often would you have to polish to prevent tarnishing? That may be a maintenance/polishing nightmare.

If it was a 30g bottle cage $1.55/gram would be quite ok
