Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What would you get?

Two questions:
Mavic Ksyrium SL's or Bontrager Race X Lite wheelset? Both about the same weight and money.

AND...Would you buy a Soloist Team with upgraded wheels or wait for the new Carbon LeMonds'?

I have about $2800 burning a hole in my pocket, please offer your assistance.

Just for looks I prefer the Team. The Lemond I saws on a web site was too gaudy. I have had success with Mavic. Have not tried Bontrager.

Soloist team...give LeMond a year or two to perfect his carbon design, Soloist Team is more proven.

As for the wheels...get some good customs. But between the two...I guess I'd vote for the Mavics.
