735 miles with 51,000 feet of climbing. Less mileage than May but more climbing. Gonna need that training here in about a week (Death Ride).

less than 40 miles and 20 of that was on my mtb. I'm seeing the podiatrist on Monday. My orthotics corrected one problem and started another, more painful one. This is getting expensive. And frustrating. When I first got the bike, I could ride till every part of me but my feet was hurting. Now, a few miles down the road and I'm in real pain.

1086 miles. I live in New York (60 miles NW of NY City). I liked the '8 days off because of excessive rain' comment above. It rained excessively here too, but I'm real bad at that 'day off' stuff. So I ride when it's wet. I rode in the rain so much I started to feel like Sponge Bob. Which may only prove I'm the dumbest weenie here.
You know it's too wet when your local bicycle path (75 miles from the nearest ocean) starts smelling like a Louisiana fishing dock.

Keep on climbing
463 miles for me, but I missed a week due to being really sick and we'll just say it rained a LOT here.

June: 151.53
May : 10.25
YTD : 161.78
It was hard to find time to ride, as my wife was on strict bed rest up until 16 JUN. Last week was the first week home for mom and baby. Now, I'm going to have to claim difficulty finding time with four kids. On the up side, I did 40.2 miles last night, with half a dozen sprints up to 28MPH (held for .375-.5 mile), which is beyond anything I've attempted prior. I think I'm doing good for not having done any exercise (recreational or otherwise) up until the end of May (when I bought the road bike).
I'm in awe of those of you putting in 4-5-600+ miles/month.

Raising the Abyss
After 523 and 560 miles in April and May, I had a goal of 600+ for June, but I only managed 233. I'm trying to convince myself that it was a "recovery month" and not me being lazy.

I'm at 639 miles as of right now. I was hoping to get at least 700 in... aiming for over 1000 miles in one month by August.
Not bad after over 6 months of no cycling at all because of a knee injury.
I have an advantage over some of the busy folk out there: I'm commuting by bicycle... that's a guaranteed 8.5 miles 10 times a week.
The rides only add about 5-10 minutes to my commute, and make me feel a lot better during the day! Plus, I have the best parking spot in the company: covered, climate controlled, secured! (I put my bike in the server room... being IT Manager has it's perks!)
Edit: 648 miles, and my knee is nice and swollen... no evening ride for me, tonight, so there it stands.

311mi for June. Best month in the 13mo or so I've been riding. Just shy of "on track" for making my goal of 2006mi this year. July and Aug look to be pretty good months, Sept/Cct I'm back in school but since I'm starting to commute 2-3days a week to work (and eventually school) the numbers should be strong for the second half of the year.
Click on the "2006mi in 2006" link in sig for month by month totals.

297.39 miles for me this month. I was 9 miles short of passing my personal best for a month (which I set last month). Oh well. For the year I have 1,401 miles

Making a kilometer blurry
I'm sitting at 75 miles. Same as the last 6 months. Just perfect for me. I just concentrate on focused intensity and getting back home with the family.
Last night I averaged 25.0mph in a hilly 8-mile TT loop (personal record -- after 15 years of riding), so I'm feeling moderately quick. My sprint is strong...
