Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Which stem to buy

Ok I have been upgrading my Giant TCR 1T for a while now. I was looking to get a new stem because I put on some aerobars for a tri this weekend and they are WAAAAAYYYYY to long. My question was before I go out and get one what is the easiest way to tell what size my steerer is (one inch or 1 1/8) and what size bar clamp I should get (31.8 or 26.)

Measure them. And on the bar clamp size, if your bar bulges out larger at the clamp area, chances are it is a 31.8.

Check out the new Richey 4-Axis WCS stem. A lot of pro teams have them on their bike for the TDF.
