Etymology of "Scatante"

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Etymology of "Scatante"

Anyone have any idea what the word means? Found lots of Italian web pages that use it, but none of the Italian-English dictionaries hit on it.

Think Performance realized what the first four letters mean in English?

The direct translation of Scattante (note it has two t's) from https://world.altavista.com/tr is "releasing". Contextually, releasing likely means something other that the direct translation would suggest.

Ahhh, this one is quite easy. As stated before, tanti means "a lot." Scat is a term used to define the attraction to the smell, taste or sight of the act of defecation as a primary means of sexual arousal and gratification. Erotic fulfilment with excrement may be practiced alone or with a sexual partner. So, put the two together and there you have it. After seeing this entymology, it makes perfect sense to name a bicycle "scatante"

Those Italians are some sexually sick bastards, much like the Japs.

I thought that was copraphilia.

I see "scat" and "ante" and think of some disgusting poker game invented by "Fear Factor".

"Scat" is the porn community's slang for copraphilia.
