Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Orbea question

Do people actually buy these bikes for riding purposes? Or do they buy them to get the components from them? I've seen some ads for them in Bicycling magazine but I've never seen anyone riding one.

My wife has one. She rides it too. Not in Alabama though.

can't remember his name... but on yesterdays TDF stage... the 3rd place finisher (Landaluze Inigo) was riding an Orbea... so I'd say yes they are ridden.

Duh...this is just some trolling from the folks at Motobecane and BikesDirect, poking fun at those folks who chose to ride real bikes, purchased from a real bike store.
