Felt question
 

Do people actually buy these bikes for riding purposes? Or do they buy them to get the components from them? I've seen some ads for them in Bicycling magazine but I've never seen anyone riding one.

Nope, there has never been a Felt purchased that is on the road today.

I ride a Felt F75 and LOVE it! Great bikes, just not all that common.

We rent Felt F75s for our out of state guests who don't want to ship a bike.

They're fine bikes for the price.

I ride a 05' Felt F2C. Great price for the components, and more importantly, great ride!

Depending on where you live, there may not be a Felt dealer in the area..therefore you'll see less Felts on the road. I'm currently living in Kansas (I move a lot) and the nearest Felt dealer is 2 to 3 hours away. I have yet to see another Felt on my local rides...

I HAD and F75 and I did ride it :rolleyes: . Actually, I purchased the F75, frame had a defect (carbon seatstay "separated" from aluminum tube), Felt replaced the frame with an F65 frame (same frame from what I can gather, just different color) and fork and I ride that one too :) . Felts are great bikes that are competitively priced. You just don't see a lot of them on the road. One of the reasons, albeit a small one, why I chose Felt. I wanted to be a bit different but still have a quality bike. I see Treks, Orbeas, Cannondales, Specializeds, Bianchis, Serrotas and Litespeeds a lot in my area. Felt riders are out there. My LBS has sold a few and there is another dealer about 15 miles away so I'm bound to run into one sooner or later.

I have an F55 and love it. Light and good compnentry. Some of the parts are no-name to economize Tektro brakes), but they can be swapped out relatively easily. There are very few dealers up here in Canada, though ...

I bought mine for the components...AND their carbon frame. It's a fast machine and I have much work to do before I do it justice. Now that I'm an owner I've seen plenty of them (since I'm looking), but not too many of the carbon models.

You see a lot of them at triathlons. I think they're known mostly for their tri bikes.

Own an F65. Heavy rider and have had no problems.

I have a 2004 F70. I'm estimating 3500 miles. Good bike. I want something stiffer since I'm big.
I'm sure you can do a search and find a ton of folks riding them. Felt originally made Tri bikes and have expanded from that to every type of bike imaginable.

Next to Treks, I think I see more Felts around here than anything else, except maybe for a group of Sano enthusiasts....
