Thomson X2?

Can anyone confirm whether THOMSON stems are CNCed from billet, or forged & CNCed?

Just from looking at it... I think it is machined out.

The billet is forged. The stem is CNC'ed from billet.

Thanks. I'm wondering if the other forged stems, such as the Ritchey WSC are truely forged to shape as advertised. I like the styling on the Thomson, but have heard they've had problems with cracked faceplates. I guess I'm wondering about the efficacy of forge induced grain alignment on the busier and more delicate and clamping surfaces of the stem.
