Does anyone have health coverage through UCSF?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Does anyone have health coverage through UCSF?

Hi all,

I work at a small engineering firm and rather than offer a company policy they pay out a stipend and you source your own health insurance.

I just filled out the form for more info on the USCF page and I'm wondering if anyone has information on their coverage.

Also, I'm open to suggestions on sourcing insurance elsewhere. This is my first time choosing on my own and to be honest I haven't paid much attention in the past.

Thanks in advance for constructive contributions to this topic.

-James

I believe it only covers sanctioned events... and there are pretty more exclusionary clauses than paid claims.

Perhaps I should've specified. I'm not talking about the event coverage that is inclusive with entry fees, I'm talking about a full PPO health insurance plan, offered by certain providers at discounted (probably not by much) rates to USCF members.
