Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

need a new ride

I live in Center City Philadelphia and I need some different long distance rides. I don't want to keep riding the same rides out to Valley Forge and need some good roads that have shoulders. Thanks in advance.

I hear ya... I'm looking myself. I think I'm going to start exploring up in the blue bell area.

Here's some rides too, although I haven't done any:

There's another good site I had found that had area rides.. I'll post it if I can find it.

That skullkill river trail sucks (sooooooo boooooooring), and I can only do so many laps around the art museum loop before I start going batty. I have to switch things up and throw on cross tires and ride forbidden drive back and forth to relieve the montony from time to time.

some rides in New Jersey (I think some of these may be for organized rides, but they're still good routes)
