Ok now I have a problem...what's the next bike?
Well I didn't think I cared but the more I look at my Roubaix and other bikes the more I wish it wasn't a compact frame. Well this IS a problem...hell 40% of the reason I have this bike is the looks (got to be OCP ) right, so what do I do now? I think the only thing I can do is sell the frame and get a different one...but which one?
I don't race but I do want a light bike. I want something along the lines of the Roubaix, i.e. smooth ride and a higher bar position (again I am not a racer and I want to be comfortable). I would really like it to be CF or I suppose Ti.
So lets here some suggestions.

i have a feeling you would be hard pressed to find a CF frame without compact geom, but i could be way off. you could always go custom Ti if your willing to shell out the big ones.

Are you going to pull your components off the Specialized or go with a complete bike? I've wanted a Titanium bike for awhile now so my vote goes for that.

Non-sloping, non-compact, Ti and carbon mix.

You could KEEP the Roubaix and build it up with Campy Chorus for just over your total budget. For reference, mine with Ultegra 10, OP wheels, and Look Sprints comes in at a hair under 18 pounds. Chorus would probably be in the mid 17 to upper 16 pound range.
