My new (to me) Bianchi! Pics....56k no!

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My new (to me) Bianchi! Pics....56k no!

So it came....and I love it....just looking at it makes me happy.

It's a 2001 Bianchi XL Boron....from the Reparto Corse division , and it's sexy as all hell.....just finished switching my campy parts to it so I haven't had a chance to ride it yet. I'll be sure to get some miles in this weekend if the weather clears up a bit. Here's the pics....I'll start with the pics I took before I switched the Ultegra for Campy....

And don't mind how horrible the stem/headset combo looks right now....it's a threaded stem with a converter.....i'll be getting a new fork and headset soon hopefully....

It would be a good idea to give some way to identify you on ebay. Although links to the auction are probably inappropriate.

Oh yeah forgot to mention bike is hot! I like the yellow

I guess one easy thing would be to replace those silver spacer with black ones.
I'm in a similiar situation where I want to replace the shimano 600 headset with campy chorus.
Most headset parts are easy to take out, but
the fork crown race, lower/upper press races require special tools that I don't have.
Whether I want a bike shop to do it, may be, may be not, I don't know yet.

Man, you're lucky, mine didn't arrive yet (frame only), next tuesday per the LBS.
Wait till you ride it, I already rode test it, you won't believe the blend of performance and comfort, just perfect. The high quality triple butted, light Dedicacci steel, foam injected boron frame really makes a difference.

What size is it ?

Congrats!
