My Steel Ciocc
Here's a pic of my Italian Steel Ciocc. Columbus tubes. I got it on ebay about three years ago and have just now brought it up to riding standards. It has been in my garage all that time. At least it is now rideable. I've put about 60 miles on it. The paint is in excellent condition(pink, yellow, orange fade). Still need a new brakeset, saddle, and perhaps a new wheelset. The drive train is Dura Ace 8 speed. Here's the link to the pic...

It's a dazzler to be sure. I finished a Ciocc myself on Friday. Good luck with it.

Ouch - retina burn.
Well, I don't imagine you have to worry too much about getting hit by a car - or getting shot by a mistaken deer hunter either....
lol - I really like Ciocc's, but this one is very bright. Ever thought of photographing it under a black light - while maybe listening to Jimmy Hendrix?

This bike absolutely screams, "go big or go home." It screams it in a high-pitched, lispy voice but people will take notice nonetheless.
Seriously though, nice ride. Ciocc didn't paint it that way did they? Any history on the bike?

Fantastic looking bike. I like the eclectic colors. I think a solid yellow or pink bar tape would be nice. Those are nice cages too.

The bike rides great.....like you would expect from steel. I've just got to fine tune a few things on it and it will be darn near perfect.
The wheels are a bit heavy...so I'm going to look into a lighter wheelset. Possibly Ksyriums or Bonty Race Lites. The current rear wheel has a real nice Ringle hub and skewer. I guess I could keep that and have it built on an Open Pro rim. That is a nice hub. The wheel upgrades are really going to lighten up the bike.
I have my eye on a saddle at Performance(online) by Selle San Marco. The current saddle is one I had laying around. It was a stock(Bontrager) saddle on a Trek bike I purchased a while back. So I definitely need to upgrade the saddle.
I'm not satisfied with the stopping power of the current brakes...so I am going to get some new brake calipers(perhaps new Ultegra or Dura-Ace).
I'm going to have that bar tape replaced with a solid color cork. Probably yellow...unless I can find an orange or pink. There is some orange in the paint scheme.
The chain comes off on occasion when I shift to the small ring. So I need an adjustment. I plan on getting to the shop soon to fix that. I've been doing all my riding in the big ring...which is fine. It's fairly flat around here.
That's about it. Again, she rides great!

No I do not have any history. The paint, chrome, and decals are extremely professionally done. So either Ciocc did it, or perhaps Joe Bell?(te he)
Ciocc is a small Italian builder with a great reputation. I understand that they are the factory that built the old 'Concorde' frames for the PDM pro team of the late 80's and early 90's(Kelly, Alcala, Thuenisse).

yeah - Freds's Ciocc has me looking at steel frames. I spent a large part of the group ride today drafting on the only Ciocc in the group because of it. Thanks Fred.

oneradtec, I've seen pics of Concordes with similar colour schemes to your Ciocc. I'd believe the Concorde/Ciocc link. I'd also believe that Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder must have managed the paint shop at Ciocc for a while as well.
I used to have a 'Paganini', which was apparently made by Ciocc. I fairly sure Paganini is the house brand of the Plum Vanquier shop in Gent. There is or was a pic of one identical to mine (except for colour scheme) somewhere on the forum

I'm planning on painting mine similarly. I'm still looking for more decals like "Extremely Fragile" "Refurbished. For display purposes only" "Warning, do not remove fastening string and tape." "Never ride when cloudy!" "Integrity check failed"
