Landis not riding this weekend?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Landis not riding this weekend?

I do not care if he is gooped up on gop, I wanted to see him ride this weekend. This is the closest I will get
to see him race and now I am disappointed.
The method of cleaning up their sport has not worked yet so why not just shelve the whole testing procedure and its organization. These are adults(Don't tell me about the trickle down effect to kids ) and if they want to do something now that will affect them later in life that is their choice.
Let him race!!!!!!

With everything going on, you really think he had the time/energy for that?

Yeah he was supposed to be at a LBS right by my work the day before as well. I pretty much chalked that one up to no way as soon as he won. Now that he's a loser I don't think we'll be seeing much of him.

He is the one that signed up! Isn't he the one that has ridden 20,000 kilometers training.

Let him race!!!!!!
These are also adults who have agreed to the current rules, and who also tell us that they are abiding by those rules. One of those rules is that you will not have banned substances in your body.

Let them play by the rules!!! (and be punished if they don't).

If they want to have the All-Drug Cycling League where they experiment to their heart's content, that's fine (I won't be watching that), but at least be honest about it. Don't sign up for races with rules prohibiting doping if you're going to dope.

For that type of drug free racing I go here on Thursday nights

https://www.northbrookvelodrome.com/
I am pretty sure that none of the guys that race here are jazzed on the juice.

He's on Jay Leno tonight. You have alot to learn about life and people if you think a guy from his background is a loser.

I hope he shows up on Leno. Hasn't he missed a couple dates there already? I'll be listening, but admitedly, my expectations are low.

Floyd was on the Adam Carolla radio program this morning. Floyd is claiming that there is a good possibility the test was tampered with. He is defiant that he is innocent. They had a lie detector set up for him... but he declined.

As I stated in an earlier thread. How would it be so hard to tamper with the samples. I know how they are numbered and anonymously tested and nobody who is testing knows whos it is but come on of all the samples it is the guy who won? Not the guy who finished 113th. Hell how do we even know that his sample was his and not someone elses. Are any of these testing facilities immune from corruption,
now let him ride just this one race!

Wow...re-read what I wrote. I said I thought he was coming right after he won (the TdF), but now that (it seems) he's a loser (of the TdF)...if you thought I was saying that Floyd is a loser in charachter, fortitue, etc....then you need to learn a lot about life, people, and the term double-entendre...

Definition: "A word or expression that has two different meanings (in French, double-entendre means “double meaning”), one of which is often bawdy or indelicate. A double-entendre is found in this sentence: “A nudist camp is simply a place where men and women meet to air their differences""

You...my dear sir...are a loser.

Another reference to the french. They are the ones causing all the problems to begin with. Would a french winner be going thru this now?? No, because they would still be a loser! (Is that a double -entrendre?)

And Alexian Brothers changed the home page so it does not reference Floyd anymore.
I guess he is not going to the bike shop or the race now!!!

Yes it appears the sarcasm is being kind of withheld due to the text presentation instead of vocally.

I was sure things would be more relaxed around her without Koffee Brown policeing.

Sorry, I could not help myself.

Nah these guys still have him listed on their site as showing up. I think it's pretty obvious he won't. They'll leave it up because he probably has not formally cancelled, and it will still get people in the store I am sure.

Maybe he will still come by the shop and just have a few brews and BS since he will not be racing the next day. If you can get the NIBF jerseys done by then and get them all autographed, we would be styling for the next ride/meeting.
