Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any opinions on these wheels? Particularly the Alta Race. There are some deals on them right now. They are definitely lightweight with the Alta Race's stated weight at a hair over 1500 grams but are they durable? I know Reynolds tubulars have a good reputation but not much info out there on their clincher wheels.

I purchased a pair from Gottaridebikes.com using their 15% off code and I'm pretty happy with them. They're stiff enough for me (180#) and have not had to true them yet (about 250 miles on them now). The bearings run smooth and the silver finish is definately very nice. I did have to relube the freehub within a 150 miles, I guess they just use some oil in the freehub when they're assembled. It's an easy enough process only requiring two 5mm allens and some good quality grease.
