Let's say Landis beats the rap in court...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Let's say Landis beats the rap in court...

If Landis can get himself found innocent in court then:

1. Is he free to sign with any team?
2. Does he go back to Phonak (iShares)?
3. Does he get his TDF win/trophy back?
4. Will there still be a stain on his record in most people's minds and will it hurt his endorsement possibilities?

What do you think?

The USA Cycling arbitration court. that's where he has to take his case now.

He'd have a better chance with the French.

uhhh...ok, but
1. That's not something he has a choice in
2. That has nothing to do with my hypothetical question

So, IF he's found innocent, then...(answer the questions)...

In one sense it would be good if he is found innocent. It would restore faith in peleton. But it would destroy faith in the UCI and Pro cycling.

I prefer that he is innocent, but I doubt it. The ratio of t/pe is not so troubling as the synthetic testosterone.

If he's found innocent due to someone being guilty of sabotage or falsifying results, then there could be a good outcome for Landis

If its something ridiculous like UCI leaked info to the media so the ban is innapropriate, or the USA athlethics is going to take the same position as the military re: world war crimes criminal court, then he's wasting his time fighting it.

Those of you who are automatically invalidating the evidence because it comes from french people are embarassing yourselves as pathethic loser xenophobes.

What do you think?
I think they (Phonak) will pull out of sponsoring a pro cycling team.

I would say for sure. He would get a ride with another team, but as for personal sponsorship one would think it is over.
