Question about doping.

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Question about doping.

Forgive my ignorance, but I really dont know alot about the tour other than what I see on OLN. I dont understand team tactics etc. I also know little about steriods doping EPO testosterone etc. But I was thinking.. If they test the stage winner, AND they test the overall pro winner/leader which I read somewhere on another post. Why were the only sample(s) to test positive the ones taken after stage 17. Shouldnt they have tested after he was named the winner or claimed the yellow? If they did, than he obvioulsy has tested negative because we havent heard word one about any other tests coming back positive. From what I have heard and read, testosterone doesnt give a "quick boost", it takes a long time to provide any types of benefit to the user. So how was it so high at #17, but gone a few days later??

Anyone know?

I want to believe he didnt, but feel deep down he did, as most if not all of them have.

I doubt if anyone on this forum is qualified to answer these questions accurately. However I read an article where a pro rider stated that a high dosge of testosterone can give you a feeling of euphoria. I also heard that a high level of testosteron, an 11:1 ratio, would not simply disappear from one day to the next. So why doesn't it show in subsequent testing?

Back in my school days I had a class in sampling which included cheating by all the parties involved. I am willing to bet the frame of my DaHon folder that American Forensic Standards were not followed with chain of custody and sample contamination possibilities involved.

I think that means it's possible Floyd's urine could have been contaminated and we can't 100% trust the results.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Unfortunately, Floyd got fired today and the TdF no longer considers him the winner. I'm not sure what th eprocess is next, but he's scr3w3d, regardless of the eventual outcome of this mess.

Are you stupid? Of course didn't use american standards! They ride Tour de France mostly in France!!! So logically, if they followed any standards, they followed french or EU standards that may or may not be more strict than american.
