!! EyeCandy and Teaser from the early 90s !!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

maybe that's what he meant by teaser?

I'm not familiar enough with bikes to have any idea what the whole thing might look like though, so I too would appreciate a full frame shot.

So he had his own brand and bike company while still riding professionally? I have no knowledge one way or the other, but it seems quite unusual at best.

I remember when I first saw that paint on that rig. I will always remember it. Sweet rig. Early 90's steel rigs (especially LeMond pre-Trek) are arguably some of the best riding rigs that have ever been built.

As for more pictures...I don't want to see anymore. Kind of for the same reason I don't like looking at yachts or sports cars. I know I'll never own one so why torture myself....

...then again....

I am drueling! Holy cow that is beautiful. Look at those lugs! That was a Lemond frame...but something tells me it was hand built by one of the Italian builders such as Ciocc, Moser, Pergoretti, Bottechia, etc. Builds were probably contracted out by Lemond. This was long before Trek took over.

That frame looks brand new! Has it been refurbished or is it one that has never been built? Any history on the frame and who the builder is? Is this one of the Clark Kent models?

Why, oh why, did LeMond get rid of that headtube logo?

The bold "GL" with the wc-stripes in the bolt below was recognizable and looked fun.

The current LeMond headtube badges are lame, IMO.

A friend of mine had that exact frame (although size 54, that looks kke it may be a 54 or 56) and he had it built with Ultegra. Cost him $2400. He then tired of bicycling. I rode it for a few months but the top tube vs seat tube was too long for me so he ended up selling it for $800.

It is a really bright frame! I am sure it will be very nice when built. What components are you going to use?

gee... $800 is a steal for whoever gets it. if it doesn't fit, it doesn't matter how nice the bike is, unless you want
to hang it on the wall.

I have all 10-sp Chorus components on my reserve, and some traditional looking Open Pro wheels, TTT quill stem & handlebar
No carbon and no stealth looking wheels will be found on this bike!!

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to say $800 is a STEEL - - in honor of the frame??

Yeah, I ended up selling it for him (it was about 1991 or so) and the guy that came over to buy it was quite happy.

I applaud your choice of components!! That will be a nice ride.
