Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

'96 Raleigh Professional?

I'm thinking about picking up a 1996 Raleigh professional tomarrow for $260. It seems like a pretty cool bike and caters to my love of old school style. It's one of the Raleigh models manufactured in the UK and was bought in the UK (it is a british guy who i am gunna buy it from). Its got Shimano 600 (old ultegra) components all around, reynolds 531 tubing, campy chorus headset and seatpin, cinelli stems and handlebars, and wolber rims.

Its kind of an ugly color but i feel like it is a pretty good deal and i could definitely use the components to build up a cool old school bike on a different frame and just sell the raleigh frame. its kinda rare having been purchased and manufactured in the UK at the UK's Nottinghams workshop. I dunno tho i cant make up my mind. i might just want to wait for something better.

any feedback would be helpful and appreciated. thanks.
