Yeah..... I just get up, stretch the quads, and introduce my new friend to the Taco Bell Value Meal that's been roiling around in my guts all afternoon. :D

I see that alot on the Manhattan Greenway. People "training" in the most crowded spots at the busiest times. Genius.

Sometimes when another rider passes me it wakes me out of my slumber and I pick up the pace. But I'm not going to grab someone's wheel for any real distance without taking a turn pulling.

On the way to work this am, a guy passed me and immediately started operating like a ride leader. Pointing out hazards, giving hand signals to slow down. It was great and funny. We were poking along at 15mph in traffic and he was directing our 2 man peleton like a pro. :)

That's subjective. Just like my opinion that you're hypersensitive.

I've never once been bothered by someone tagging along uninvited. I've ridden 130,000 miles or more over the last 15 years, and it has never bothered me one bit.

I also like the aero speed boost from someone drafting me.

A fair number of times I'll be on the cool down part of my ride with some other folks from the club, and taking easy when some guy - seeing use in our team kit - thinks they'll make a statement by passing us. I like to sit a few feet (it's not drafting in my book unless your less than a foot off their rear wheel) back and have a nice chit-chat with my buddies while the guy up front is struggling to maintain the pace and trying to drop us. If you're riding solo, just pull out your cellphone and have have an idle conversation with one of your friends. Usually these sort of folks turn off at the first sign of a hill and you'll never see them again.

i think it is really silly that people get offended when they get passed...or people make a pass in the hopes of proving something...or better yet some of you guys might actually say something that could get you a few trips to the dentist because Fred T. Cyclist is trying to have a good ride and doesn't know the first thing about macho cyclist ediquate...

there's something i remind myself of every time i slip into my biking shorts and jersey and hop on my road bike...people outside of the cycling world view us a bunch of numbnuts in colorful spandex riding bikes when we could be in a car...we aren't exactly looked up to or thought of as cool...your not going to see road biking in the X games...so to cop an attitude towards another biker is just asinine when we should be sticking together as much as possible...this thing we do is fun and for many of us it defines our life so why make it more difficult on the less experienced or less knowledgeable...that says more about you then them...
