Flet F75 or comparable models?
 

Hi new to the sport. i was looking at buying a new felt f75 or something comparable in that price range.(under $1500). The Giant OCR1 also caught my eye and is similarly equiped. Trek 1500. and Cannondale R700 or R800. for the most part it is long and flat around my area but will also ride on some hilly roads once and a while. any suggestions will help.
i am open to any brand also. looking for comfort with a 105 and up equiped bike. thanks.

Spend a bit extra and upgrade to the OCR Comp 3. $1800 MSRP. You'll get your 105 components and comfort to boot. You'll have a frame worthy of upgrades. I've got the TCR Comp 3 and couldn't be happier. A wise sage once told me "Buy for the frame, not for the components."

We carry the F75 here for $1299. That's 105 shifters and front derailler, ultegra rear

Comparable models would be the Fuji Roubaix pro, Fuji Team, and Scott Speedster 30. look em up

i found a trek 1500T on close out at a dealer in Mi for $980. thats a pretty good price i would say.

Trek 1500. Very good frame that is upgrade friendly. Not that you will need to upgrade it very much since it is a 105/ultegra mix. Solid bike at a good price. I saw one in the LBS the other day. It was a new 2007 with a sexy bright red paint job. It's a triple however.

I have a Felt F65 and am very happy with it so far (bought in June). I looked at Trek, Specialized, and Scott and found that the Felt offered the best components for the price.

The matte black of the Felt F75 is pretty cool too. Also, the Felt F75 offers more carbon than the S30 or 1500. I have seen a large decrease in Felt's 2006 line, so it might be a great time to pick one up.

I test the F75/65 and the Specialized Gerolsteiner Allez Comp (FULL 105) and ended up with the Allez. Both road nice, but the Specialized just felt, well, faster. YMMV.

prices should be coming down soon and I shouod be able to make a good deal on one.
